Top Different Cat Breed Ideas

If you want to get a new cat breed but are unsure of which to opt for, the first step is going to be for you to learn about the different cat breed options that are out there. There are actually hundreds of different cat breed types for you to choose from, but a few in particular which are especially common and worth considering.

Persian

Persian cats are very popular, and this is definitely one of the most preferred of all the different cat breed types out there. The Persian is actually one of the earliest cat breeds, as they were introduced in Europe during the late 16th century.

They are also one of the most well-known cats, largely due to their proper temperament and good looks. They are very adaptable and usually get along great with any household. No matter if you already have other pets or have children, Persian cats are usually a good choice because they are very even tempered and not as aggressive as say Siamese cats.

Tonkinese

Another of the different cat breed types is the Tonkinese. This breed is much rarer, and very unusual to look at. Often confused with the Siamese breed, these cats are known to be muscular cats, thus appearing heavier than they actually are. They are distinguished more than anything by their oval-shaped paws and a wedge-shaped head.

They should be kept active while the owners are not around otherwise they can get restless, so preferably if you are leaving for an extended period of time you should make sure that they either have lots of toys or other animals to play with and to occupy their time.

Cornix Rex

Cornix Rex is a different cat breed, one that is quite unique and stands apart from other cat breeds in the world today. These cats have lean bodies with egg shaped heads, large ears and high cheekbones. The back of these cats is vault shaped with a tiny waist and long slender legs.

If they were to be compared to any type of animal it would be the Chihuahua dog, as they are very skinny and dainty.

Any of these breeds would make a wonderful addition to your home, but if you are really serious about making sure that you are going to be getting the best cat for you, it is important that you take the time to learn more about not only these but other breeds of cat as well.
